Wondercon Fun Yet Frustrating

WonderCon is an annual com ic book, science fiction, and movie and television production convention. It’s produced by the same group that does San Diego Comic-con and is typically held in San Francisco’s Moscone Center. For the last two years it’s been relocated to the Anaheim Convention Center while the Moscone has undergone renovations. While it’s been confirmed that WonderCon will eventually return to the Bay Area, it is unknown at this time when.

West goes East: PAX East

Being a California girl, the chances of me heading to the East Coast are rare, but the call of PAX East 2013 drew me away from sunny California to the snowy east coast this year.

 

PAX East 2013 was sold out with over 60,000 attendees from around the world, who came to witness games and cosplay at one of the largest conventions put on in the world. This year’s PAX East was taken over by eSports. The League of Legends booth was enveloped by fans that never seemed to disperse and whenever there was match at the Twitch.TV booth, there was no getting around the crowd.
